Precautionary Cleaning

Please note the message from Plant Operations. The JCRLC is scheduled to be cleaned on Thursday, May 28th from 10pm - 8:30am.

"Plant Operations is taking advantage of the break between semesters to perform detail cleaning of all offices, workrooms, classrooms, etc. This is a precautionary measure we are taking to help prevent H1N1 virus. NO ONE HAS THE VIRUS. Please have your work area ready for cleaning.

We will be cleaning all flat surfaces, dusting, wiping down office equipment (i.e. phones, monitors, desk, file cabinets and keyboards) and vacuuming. Please sure to clear any personal items and sensitive materials from your work area. If you could tidy up your area a bit it will make the process go a lot smoother.

Weekend Hours Extended

The library is extending its weekend hours during finals in order to give students a few extra hours to study.

Saturday, May 9th: 9a - 5p
Sunday, May 10th: 1p - 7p

Summer Schedule Update

The four-day work week is scheduled to start on the week of May 18th and end on the week of July 27th. There may be a few days during the intersession period where the library may be closed to the public for inventory. More information to come if this is a possibility.

May 18th - June 7 (Intersession - No classes)
Monday - Thursday: 9a - 5p
Friday- Sunday: Closed
May 25th (Memorial Day): Closed

June 8 - July 30th (Classes in Session)
Monday - Thursday: 7:45a - 9p
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 10a - 3p

New Building for Newton Library

The Newton campus library is moving to a new building this summer and will be closed to the public Saturday, May 16th through Sunday, June 7th. Currently, the due date for Newton materials are set to June 8th.

Water Turned Off Postponed

UPDATE: Water services are turned off on the Clarkston campus until 12 noon with the exception the JCLRC.

The water service has been postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11th. Although it is scheduled to take place between 6am - 12 noon, Plant Operations have said they hope to complete the work early in the morning so that services should be available when the library opens. However, please be aware that delays may occur. Thanks for your patience!

Water Turned Off

Please be advised that the water service on the Clarkston campus will be turned off Tuesday, March 10th from 6am until 12 noon.

Fire Alarm Testing

Please note:

The fire alarm contractor will be testing and inspecting the fire alarms in all buildings on all campuses during the week of March 9th-13th. The testing will involve turning on the alarm and observing the horns and strobe lights for a short period.

Power Cut Off

GA POWER WILL CUT THE POWER OFF TO THE JCLRC TODAY, FEBRUARY 6TH AT 5:00. IT SHOULD BE DOWN FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS AS THEY TIE THE RENOVATIONS INTO THE EXISTING TRANSFORMER. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
